Greg, there is nothing written in stone. My RNY was 9/3/03 and I am eating salads with tomatos in them. I started at 7 weeks. I know of people who started earlier, and I know people who could not eat them until like 10 months. I just wanted one so bad I grabbed a peice of lettus and chewed the heck out of it. I make my own dressing though because I am afraid of the sugar content in store bought ones, but that is just me. Oh yes, I do know I can not eat broccli yet, I had steamed and it hurt!!!! so I stay away, and I have avoided carrots(my favorite) because they are so hard. Be carful, good luck and God bless, Janie
