This is Brenda's Angel
Because of the horrible fog here, I got to meet Brenda Salley for about one minute before she was wheeled away to OR at 7:27 this morning. She was very ready for her DS. By noon; I was talking with Dr. Hess; he had removed her gall bladder, appendix AND performed a successful DS; tho she had to have one unit of blood. By 3PM, I was able to see her in her room. It was difficult for her to breathe on her back as she tried to sleep- evidently she has apnea and no cpap. She was able to have ice chips and was in pain but looked good. She drifted in and out; nurses will try to sit her up tonite and suggested taht I wait til about lunchtime to go in tomorrow. They will try to get her walking...and so will I ! I spoke with her sister to report and all seems well.Brenda did ask me to say a prayer, when I left.Maybe tomorrow, she will see her surgery card on the wall! Please keep her in your prayers...angel flying out
