Waiting in Z-ville

I am a 45 year old african american female from Zanesville, Ohio. I had my consult in August 2003. I am now waiting for approval from my insurance company. I am so anxious to begin my new chapter. My son is a senior in college and my daughter is a senior in high school. They as well as my husband are very supportive. Need some suggestions on how to manage the waiting game. My high power does help.

Sheri, the best advice I can give you as a recent postie is to do plenty of RESEARCH. You can never get too much information and there are a gazillion websites out there. Just punch in "gastric bypass" into your search engine and start reading. I started a notebook with my letters of approval, nutrition advice, and basic WLS info into a notebook that was of immeasurable help to me while I was convalescing. Hang in there and it will happen. waiting sucks but in the end you will get your reward. Suz
