Hello. I am a 37 yr old mom of 3 and weigh in at 350lbs. I hve been visiting this site and reading posts for a couple of years now and through the site I have found the information I ws looking for on WLS. My dr told me that if I don't do something to get at least some of this weight off I won't make it anothner 5 years. I have sleep apnea, gerd and was diagnosed with cancer. The cancer was until recently in a stage called "no evidence of disease". The dr's have ordered tests on a tumor they found on my spleen and even though it does look like it is probably cancer, I personally don't think it is. My insurance doesn't cover the cost of surgery and I can't live like this much longer. I have created a website to ask anyone that has any information that could help me to find the financing to pay for this. We don't own our home, so we can't remortgage it, nor do we have any savings or ira or 401 K to borrow against. I feel like time is running out on me. And last night I got to thinking that if I don't at least try to raise the money to do this then I might as well just curl up in a ball and wait for the end to come. I don't know how appropriate it is to ask for help from folks that don't know me but I have to try something. 25,000 is a lot of money to come up with and we don't even have 25.00. My website is www.geocities.com/karenmetz2001/help.html Please visit the site. (I would have put a page on this site but didn't know how to go about it) Thank you and God Bless each and every one of you. Your stories are my inspiration. Karen

What insurance company do you have? Do you own a house that you can second mortgage on. How about a retirement plan that you cna borrow against. Have you tried Walter Lindstrom at www.obesitylaw.com. How about trying to get a sepaprate policy. There are loans available for surgery. Check with Capitalone.com. Don't give up just keep trying.

I have Carelink HMO. We don't have either a home or retirement plan to borrow against. Separate policy is a problem. I have a pre-existing condition (cancer) and the insurers I called about getting insurance told me that I couldn't get a policy. We have tried to get a loan but our credit is a wreck. Seems like this is a lost cause. I am going to the obesitylaw site right now. Thank you for replying with the information. I really appreciate it. Thank you and God Bless you.

Good luck on your journey. I don't know how you can get financed. I'm sorry I wish I could help. To log on to the site just go to the main page and look for the registration. Register and that should do it.
