If I live in Cincinnati, would it be a mistake to have the surgery in Columbus at the Bariatric Treatment Center? I want to make sure I make the right choice.

Only in terms of what the ins will pay for. For example if you have Choicecare they won't pay for BTCCheck with Ins. SOme of our group really like BTC. I had mine at Christ with Dr Moreira. Most of our hospitals are great. Find out what ins covers

Check out the UC physicians group... that's who's doing my surgery (July 14) and they seem wonderful. They have a great plan to work with you in your planning stages, the actual surgery, and will continue to work with for years after. My surgeon is Dr, Keith Gersin, and you can check him out on this website for quite a few of us have him as a physician. You can also keep in touch with me to see how my procedure goes. I live in Fairfield, so it's not too far from you. ~Cyndi

I chose the BTC simply because this is what they isolate their practice to. Also for a selfish reason. I had read so much about local Dr's having a waiting list. I don't want to wait any longer then I have too. I have been big long enough and I am over it. I don't do well with waiting. That's just me though.
