I would like to start a support group, I have not had the surgery but I would like to have a group of people I can relate to and talk to about real things that happen to us. It is frustrating not having anyone to talk to. I would like to know your opinions. Thank you.

Nicole, I know of a place you can go and talk with people that have and haven't had the surgery. Go to IMNOTFATANYMORE.COM and go to the message board. This can help you till you get your support group up and running. It's a very friendly site.

I can totally understand. I work with a girl that is going through the surgery, yet we have almost nothing in common, except the surgery. I have only lived here for a couple of years and my life is consumed with my work. I try to make it a habit NOT to be close friends with a lot of people I work with so for me, any support outside of my office and regular family would be fabulous.
