Hello Ohio Members!
Hi all you fellow Buckeyes! I'm new here, only been a member for about a week. I'm loving this site and finding something new every day I'm on here. I am from Barberton, Ohio, and currently am scheduled for a RNY on November 7. Just wanted to check out this forum and meet some other people who are from the area. Wondering if there is anyone else out there from the Akron area who has a surgery date close to mine. I hope you all have a wonderful day and add me as a friend if you like. I look forward to getting aquainted with others who are on this magnificent journey to better health.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.
Hi Michelle,
Also originally from Barberton here too, though now living in Lakewood. Good luck with your surgery!

Welcome Michelle!
I am also from the Akron area. OH is a wonderful resource you will use in the coming years. Next spring you might want to join our Akron area cycling club for a ride. It was formed by WLS patients and has many WLS members. We have fun rides that are casual (slow) on the Towpath and often on the Barberton section. Join us today and stay up to date with our happenings. http://www.spinoffcyclists.com/
Also, we have a group of WLS post-ops doing the Metro Parks Hiking Spree. You can join us this Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Deep Lock Quarry for a hike.
Keep in touch!
