x-post from main brd not new just been away a long time
Hello!
So i had my rny back in 2004, went well started having a good outcome, then stopped losing, moved away from my Dr, and havent been able to find much support not really sure where to start looking, husband is military and we just got to the new duty station, i have sent an email to the dr office to the nut, where i had my surgery done but its been almost 2 weeks with no response, so pretty much feeling on my own, never got to goal, have gotten away from op and have gained about 10 pounds back but as i said never got to goal in the first place, So at this point i have dug out all the handouts that they gave me in the begininng im sure that things have changed some since then but have to use what i have with me, found something called a protein train on the net that i will be starting tomorrow, just not sure where to go from there..I have felt like a failure for so long and ashamed to even seek help. Now that i am ready to admit that i cant do this alone im not really sure where to start. So what i am asking is a couple of things, if Dr. Curry can see if the nutrionist ever got my email from his website, that would be great, from others that have been where i am today please share with me, and anyone with any ideas as to what where when who or how i am all ears!!!!

I would get on the phone with the office and see if they can help! I have not had a lot of luck with my surgeon's office via email. They seem to be too busy to handle the online world as well as the real world! (I'm pre-op so I'm not full of too much info for you!)
Good idea to pull out your materials and start over again!
Continue to post here and ask if anyone has recommendations for monthly meetings -- I know if you are near Columbus you can join in at the Fresh Start / Riverside meetings even if you are NOT a patient.
Good luck to you!
