well, hot damn. guess who's moving to Ohio??
Hi Brad! nice to meet you. my parents (and the rest of my fam for that matter) still live there. I was last there about a month ago. yes, it is very sad. i like being close to my family but there is no way in hell i can stay there. that town is so far from my personality, its ridiculous. This is why I am going to Columbus. Only about an hour or so away but I still get to feel like I am not in a dead city.
hopefully, I'll see you at some support group somewhere!

You hit the nail on the head. It's like Middletown just gave up and quit trying to better itself. Look around, Franklin, Springboro, Monroe, West Chester... they are all still growing and seeming to get better and Middletown just sits there and keeps getting worse and worse. It really is sad. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to get out of there ASAP :)
Yeah, I have never been to a meeting, but just recently decided I was going to check them out. If I see ya, I will try to say hello :)

Hello Missy, welcome back to Ohio. I live in Miamisburg, just up the road from Brad in Franklin.
Wonderling, Tony, Ohio4Life and I go to the support group meetings both at Kettering Hospital and the WLS group on Whipp Road in Kettering (Dayton). We will all be happy to make you welcome.
When I first moved to Ohio (many years ago LOL) I lived in Columbus and worked in Springfield.
Hated Springfield, it is a lot like Middletown. Then moved to Springfield and got a job in Dayton
Finally moved to Miamisburg and love that town. It is close to everything and as a town has a wonderful atomosphere and always something going on.
Still miss the east coast, always will, but Ohio has been very good to me.
