Nervous about getting Denied not sure what to expect from Paramount HMO insurance

Does anyone have any experience with Paramount insurance HMO? I went to see my doctor today and I now have a seminar scheduled for Dec. 8th! Im really anxioux but very nervous that paramount will deny me! My Bmi is 35.1 Im 29yrs old 5ft 7 inches 225lbs I have high bp, Joint problems with my knees, a family history of diabetes, and I sometimes get a rash in my "pouch area"!! are these all things that will be considered when deciding to approve or deny me?

Each policy is diffrent you should call your insurance and see what yours states. SOME say with BMI of 35 and comorbities you can have WLS otheres so BMI of 40 no matter what.  Call them and find out exactly what yous covers and what it does not. Some will cover WLS but not the fills after if you go with the band, others cover it just like any other doc call.  Your best bet is to call and see what yours covers.

I have Paramount and had no problems at all. They approved my surgery the day after it was sent to them. My weight and problems were more extensive than yours tho. they will look at everything. I agree call them and make sure.
