Medical Good Thoughts Please

Hi all,

I have been hanging out more on the Alabama board since I am getting ready to move to Montgomery next month.  But could use some good thoughts and prayers.

A couple weeks ago, apparently I was very very ill.  Was put in the hospital with internal bleeding and got two units of blood.  My surgeon is comfortable that I had a bleeding ulcer and didn't do any additional testing.  And, in truth, being back on antiulcer medicines and eating more bland has helped quite a bit.

But my PCP is not convinced.  He and his wife (also a physician) are insisting I need to be completely safe and have a colonoscopy... a prospect that doesn't thrill me.  But I called the gastro guy and, after he looked at the records of my hospital visit yesterday, called and said "you need an endoscopy and it has to be tomorrow."  YIKES.

So today is the endoscopy.  I've left the insistence on the other in the hands of my PCP.  I'm worried about this mellow doctor scheduling something for the next day, especially since day before yesterday my PCP told me that he fully expected me to die two weeks ago.  I wasn't aware I was that sick.

And with getting ready to move in three weeks, I am a little annoyed that I am being asked to do these major things in such a short period of time while I am having to deal with Uncle Sugar calling some shots on the moving process.  No stress!

So, please keep good thoughts and prayers going that all is on the mend and well for me.

Thanks!

Janice

HUgz to you.

While the testing may be quite annoying you already know its very improtant. Matter of fact those tests downright suck but think about what you have already been through and how easy this is compared to it.

Best wishes

Take care and be at Peace. ~Kimberley

By the way, all things I have posted/commented/breathed are a result of my own personal experience/education/research. Matter of fact, treat it all as a delusion:)

Sorry that I just saw this (having spent all of last week in the hospital myself!).  How did it go?
