Went to see Doc, first appointment. Need info

You are doing great.   I read your bio.  Wow and the picture is something.  You have done a lot of hard work!  You have been succesful.

I will wait to hear from the surgeons office and see what happens.  I had some doctors send my documentation over.  Sleep apnea test, colonoscopy etc.  I have to have a pap test and a mamogram and see the dietician and that should be it except seeing my doctor once a month for weight loss.  I have already lost 121 lbs on my own.  It took me five years.

When I had to the 6 months it was every month to show that I could not loose it on my own that is the point of the surgery I could not loose it all on my own you have done a great job of loosing it sometimes slower is better then faster, thanks for the encouragement I have been really down since the reversal I am so afaird that I gain my weight back and I do not want that I was so missarable with all the weight I had on me. The more you have wrong with you the more likely the insurance is to approve you if that makes since

Hi!  I had to do the 6 month diet.  My BMI was on the borderline to qualify for insurance to pay for it.  I was basically told that if my BMI dropped below 40, insurance would not pay for it.  I was also told that I had to lose some weight, or insurance wouldn't pay for it.  My BMI was around 42 when I started the diet.  I lost about 7 pounds over the 6 months, so my BMI was still over 40!  Now I have been notified that insurance will pay for my surgery!  It is 6 weeks from now, and I am TOO excited!  Bottom line, your Doctors office should be familiar with what your insurance company expects.  They should be able to advise you as to what you need to do to get insurance to pay for your surgery.

Good luck on your journey.  I guess I am just in the waiting stages.  I have to have a few tests yet.  But I am trying to be patient.  I hope for the best for you too!
