ok guys.. final countdown.  I'm going to start my pre-op diet so that I'm ready to go once the approval goes through.

Give me some ideas please :-)
Basically told low fat and nothing white for at least 2 weeks.

I've been pretty good about both (although last weekend I kinda celebrated the end of my 6 month diet with some bad food)

Honestly I'd rather just do opti fast for 2 weeks (not sure I'd survive though lol)

suggestions for how to get through and what to eat?

My pre-op diet was 800 liquid diet for 2 weeks pre. I did slim fast shakes and a lot of water. If your doc hasn't put you on anything, then high protien, low fat/carb is what I would do and lots of fluids.

My suggestion is to eat what you will be eating post-op (minus the initial "soft foods" stage)... focus on protein and low fat, low sugar side dishes...
