Just need to VENT and not eat
OK a lot of you know that my daughter is a freshman comp. cheerleader. Well the comp team is going to hell in a handbasket as it were. Over Christmas break they kept having practices I'm ok with that even though the 2 sr. were out of town. They also had a sit down ***** session which was ok. It got a lot of the girls feelings out on the table as is were. NOW as of last night one of the srs. is OFF the team (this makes 2 so far this year one for drug use at HS and now this one for "medical reasons" rumor has it she prego- another side note this makes 2 cheerleaders that are prego this year) and we had to cancle going to a competition on Saturday. SOOOO now the whole show has to be changed. There is going to be a parent meeting on Saturday so we can find out what is going on.
What is with kids these days with all the BC out there. SOOOOOOOOO Now I'm having even more talks with my daughter about BC. She's 14 and has no boyfirend. I told her that whe she does have a boyfriend the PLEASE I'll take you to the doc or drug store but PLEASE use BC or better yet WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent and not eat. Off to work.

I've got a Freshman son in the neighboring HS (Lebanon). I feel fortunate to not be dealing with the emotions of a teenage girl, but I share the same concerns. So far, he's pretty innocent (as far as I know). My approach is before considering sex, to think of this girl (whoever she will be) and whether or not he can see himself dealing with her for the next 30 years, because if he gets her pregnant, whether he likes her anymore or not, there will be a lifetime connection and he'll have no choice. I hope that got through. I also told him that all teenage girls are in crisis until they're adults, so don't even try to understand them, LOL.

Alcohol has been the big downfall of many of the girls----the stories I have overheard would cause a mother's hair to go white! Warn the girls about drinking. Those petite little girls get trashed after a drink or two and then do who knows what---they certainly don't.
Hate to say it, but the younger boys are generally led down the garden path. Girls are about 16 going on 40 (much of the day clothes they wear would embarass a hooker) and the boys are 16 going on 12. The guys don't realize that child support lasts for 18 years even if you can't stand the mother.

I have a 16 year old daughter and I am on her all the time to just be honest and I Will get her BC rather than have a baby but I think they just do not think it will happen an they may not plan it but we all know how those young hormones are!
It is not fair to this Comp team and I hope that they are able to work all these issues out, it sure is tough growing up in this world andt 14 is still young and you should not have to explain why thier peers are going to be parents especially 2 of them on the same team!
I hope everything works out for your daughter and they can start competing again very soon...alot of work goes into those routines and now it was all for not.
