xPost: Pray, Shake Chickens, Do the Tootsie Wootsie
We just got an email today stating that Kettering Health network was in negotiations with CIGNA. If they don't come to an agreement by December 31st I won't be able to go through with my sugery plans. (I'm sure I can find another hospital, surgeon, etc.. but I was finally set and decided on my surgeon) It will also mean I'll have to travel to have my surgery since the only CIGNA approved hospitals are Ketterin Network..

For plans that have only one hospital network in a given area, there is a signficiant incentive to reach an agreement (employers will not select insurance companies that have an inadequate number of facilities and/or physicians), so they will probably come to an agreement in time (but I would be very nervous about it, too... you have a lot psychologically invested in your surgery plans)!
Robyn has the prayers covered, so can I have the chicken shaking...!?!? LOL

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
What would it cost out of pocket if you had to go OUT OF NETWORK??? Would that be doable???? ANYWAY I'll swing some Boston Terriers if I can catch them after they do the BT 500.

6,000 dollars. I've already put aside 3500 in my flex spend account.. which would mean I'd have to come up with another 2500. I know it's an option, but ug,gh I pay for insurance, I shouldn't have to go out of network for something like this.
They went through this last year and came up with a resolution mid January... Hopefully they come up with a resolution sooner than that, otherwise I'm going to have to shotgun my consult, and evals before Jan 26.
