I know docs are busy but so am I
OK so yesterday was my 5 year check up............and my 47th birthday.
My apt with Dr Anderson was for 2 pm.  I get there at 1:50 fill out the paper work and WAIT...... others come in ...........at 2:30 they announce that she is running about 30 mins LATE........... by now the  waiting room is packed.........they start calling in people in that arrived AFTER ME.... FINALLY AT 3:30 I get called back to the exam room. Then at 3:50 doc comes in.... looks at the chart hands me my paper work for the lab work ask if I have any questions.......ask if I still feel full if my pouch is working....am I taking my vitamins and such gives me a hug and says I'll see you in a year!!!!!!!!!!  She was in there less than 5 mins...........  Now I know I haven't had any complications and I haven't been there in a while but I did expect a little more.
Now I have to find a lab since she doesn't draw the blood there.
OK Rant over HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Anderson really needs to get another Surgeon in there with her.  She seems to be very overwhelmed with the deluge of patients.  Being overly hurried really scares me because I would never want a rushed surgeon operating on me lol

But congratulations on your 5 years of success!!!!!!!

Robin,  Congratulations on your 5-year anniversary and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  Hope your evening was better.

I don't blame you for being upset about the doctor.  It is so frustrating.  I had an OB-GYN one time who always ran 2 - 3 hrs. behind.  Sometimes I would have a 2:00 appt. and not get out of the office until 5:00.  But, I couldn't very well complain, I was newly married and he was married to my  dad's sister.  What can you say?

Hope you had a wonderful day!

Hugs,   Peggy

(Happy Surgiversary AND Happy Birthday!)

Sorry yesterday's checkup was so frustrating for you. I think Dr Rita needs to get another surgeon in there to lighten her work load a bit because several of us at the last SW Ohio support brunch commented on how rushed she has been lately (she didn't even look at Robyn's open incision when she went for her post-op checkup, for example, and when I was in the last time she seemed very rushed/distracted when I was trying to ask her why she only repaired the top part of my hernia and not the whole thing).  I know I would be especially disappointed if I had waited as long as you did to get in.  I am NOT very patient when ti comes to having a dr's office take people FIRST who came in LATER than I did... I usually say something to them about it!

Hope all your labs are good!
