support group in NE Ohio

I am in lake county and looking for a support group in the lake geauga of cuyahoga county, east side,. I have attended a few meetings here but lately they have been canceled. I really think these meetings are veryhelpful.

Were these canceled meetings the ones at the Cleveland Clinic?

That's the only RNY support group I know of in NEO.

No they were a branch support group from St. Vincents but there were people from all the different hospitals. I think St. V has stopped their meetings at the hospital it self. So I am still looking for a meeting if anybody knows of one.

 UH recently started a bariatric program at Geauga Hospital (just south of Chardon).  I don't know the specifics of their support groups but, since they're sortta out your way, it may be worth a call to see what they have to offer.

i moved here back in june from michigan and have been lookng for a support group myself. so far no luck. i just moved into an apartment and trying to get settled and was thinking to myself about starting up a support group of sorts for us in this area. might have to wait til after the first of the year tho until i can get settled in here but never know might be earlier....so with that said if there is anyone in the willoughby area that would like to meet up and talk about our WLS and offer support to each other let me know via PM here on OH. would like to meet others that have had or are thinking about having WLS. think it would be lots of fun meeting you all!!!

The Cleveland Clinics Bariatric dept has meeting on the 2nd Thursday of every month.  You may want to call to verify  but I am in the process of getting approved for surgery by my ins and I got a flyer some time ago at one of my visits.
