?'s Abt Belly Button Bleeding Had Open RNY 3 years ago

Not to get too nasty but I had some weird feeling pain in my belly button area lately. I had open RNY about 3 years ago. Anyway I was moving around and all this nasty stuff came out. I put a q tip in there and blood/puss came out/ Anybody have an idea what this can be etc?

Sounds like some kind of abscess... you definitely need to have it checked out!!!

It's easy for Q-tips to leave behind little pieces of cotton, which then get your belly button infected. NEVER USE Q-TIPS IN YOUR NAVEL. Once it starts to heal it will take a long time. Navels heal very slowly! Maybe someone can look at it and see if there's anything still stuck in there. To clean a non-infected navel just swish a soapy finger around in it during your bath/shower.
