Sorry that I have not talked with you lately. I have been extremly busy. We not have my step kids. So that makes 5 little ones between 5-9, They keep me very busy!  I am doing great with my weight loss. I am down over 60 lbs, here is my pics. My first one was taken the night before surgery. The second was taken about 10 mins ago. I will be 2 months out on the 18th!!  I am in the same outfit.

WOW !!  You look great.  You are lossing weight way faster than I did.  I lost 100 pounds at 5 months out and have been on a platue ever since.  I was frusterated at first but I am enjoying feeling great and wearing pretty clothes.  I have gone down sizes from a 4X (30/32) to a 16 top and an 18 bottom.  I'm loving life.  Congrats on your success, keep up the great work.  Lynne

Wow, why did he drop you as a patient ?  I do know that they have joined a bigger group instead of being independent but I haven't heard anything about it really.  Was it because of your insurance ( I switched back to Caresourse) or something else ?  That's rather scary to hear.
You have seriously lost weight ay faster than me so 100 pounds but Christmas looks very doable to me.    I haen't had any problems at all scince surgery.  I just had my six month blood work and everything came back fine.  I'm blessed.   Lynne

Yes it was insurance reason. I have actually lost my state insurance. But that was not the reason they dropped me. It was because they billed my insurance wrong, so my insurance did not pay the first time submitted. They did the second time. The stupid office manger got rude with me, I was in tears, I todl her I did not have the 53,000 to pay them. She told me they would not see me until I paid. I told her it was stupid, I was in the ER the night prior and needed to be seen. She told me it was not her problem. I todl her that was pretty bad. I then got a letter three days later saying I was no longer welcome there.

I have not had any problems since surgery with the exception of the night I went to the ER, liquid penciln kicked my butt. It made me pass out.  The ER thought some thing was wrong, but family doctor ordered alot of test and we figured out it was the meds. I was off of it for two days, and much better!!!

OMG I can't believe the office manager did you that way!!!  It's not your fault that your insurance didn't pay it the first time - especially since they billed them wrong.  Sounds like you are better off without them.  Also seems highly unethical of them to do that.

Your photo is awesome btw.  I can tell a serious difference in you!  And it is funny cause one of my dogs is in my pic too.

LOL my dog always wants to be where I am. He is my baby!!!

Yes the office was horrible, and no other surgeon will take me. The ones that agree to see me change thier minds when they get my records. I had some problems during surgery so that turns them off REALLY fast. I have no clue what to do right now!!!

You look amazing!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the surgeons office... I've never heard of a Doctor refusing a patient due to insurance mix ups.  How awful.

I am SO sorry that the office treated you the way they did!  How completely UNPROFESSIONAL!  I have to say that their office is the only one in the Dayton area that I have ever heard people complain about (whether it be the office staff, the amount of information they give you (or DON'T give you) about life post-op, doctors who are less attentive than patients would like, etc.)  I certainly hope you can find someone to take you on for followup.  You might need to find a PCP who is familiar with WLS nutritional issues instead of a WLS.  (Often the surgeons just send you back to your PCP for problems, anyway, once you are so far out from surgery.)

Congrats on the weight loss, though!  It does slow down a bit after the first couple of months (and will slow down yet again farther down the road), so just try to focus on the fact that it is still consistently going down rather than on trying to "hit" a number by a certain date.  I hit-100 pounds right around my 6-month mark, but I started out heavier than you did... and then it took me another 6 months to lose the additional 55 or so.  I'm not sure HOW long it is going to take to lose the last 30!
