i'm a failure ...
Okay, but you didn't gain back 130 of those pounds! I'm a newbie so no expert but I have heard that this is the sort of occasion that warrants a 5 day pouch test or some such thing. Maybe someone with more experience can explain. In the meantime, maybe you can pick ONE thing that you can do to change right now. Not everything, just one thing. Like maybe just tracking your intake on the daily plate (www.livestrong.com the daily plate) or just adding some kind of movement.
You are right I'm sure -- you know exactly what you have done or not done, but tomorrow is a new day. You still have your tool and you are still here to use it.
I hope no one dumps on you -- but even if someone does talk "tough love" maybe it'll have a kernel of what can help. You never know.
Thanks for posting and giving us a chance to help you move forward.

OK so you have let some BAD HABITS back into your life.
Just like the rest of us. NO ONE IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You came here so let's get a PLAN.
Start TRACKING and see where your BAD EATING HABITS ARE.
Me I started GRAZING and eating to many bad foods.
Try to start MOVING again. Notice I didn't say working out or anything JUST MORE DAY TO DAY MOVEMENT. Part about 25 spaces away for the door of Krogers, WalMart, etc and WALK those extra steps.
Losing is the EASY part MATAINING IS HE!!.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have gained also since my all time low. SLOWELY I've started watching what I eat and the scale stopped going up and is now starting to move back DOWN.
You can do this. We're all in this together.

Focus on the 74 lbs you lost and have kept off, so that it doesn't turn the other direction...
Find a long-term RNY success person to help you get back on track...and don't be afraid to contact your doctor.
And stop flogging yourself because we all know what we do with food when we keep flogging ourselves!
This isn't about excuses, its about turning the tide...you can do it, you did it before.

Hi! Sorry to see that you are having problems with weight gain. I have not had surgery yet (lapband) waiting for a date. Since I have never lost a major amount of weight I know that I would feel horrible too. I am glad you are posting for support. I know that I am going to need it too. I believe that you will be able to get back on track and loose the weight you have gained. You know how it feels to be successful and you know what you did to loose it and I am confident that you can get back on track. Luckily, we can keep trying and this time you are not so far away from your goal as you once were.
You've identified there is a problem... that is the first step. Sounds like you want to get back on track, and this is a perfect place to do it. Start logging your food, and see where the extra calories are creeping in. I use "thedailyplate.com", it's free and easy. Really helps me to see my good days and bad. You can regain control!!!!
Good luck

You have already gotten some great feedback. I just wanted to "second" a couple of them. Don't beat yourself up just because you have allowed some old habits to creep back in, and don't use having gained the 50 back to set yourself up emotionally and psychologically for gaining more of it back (you know, the "well, I've already gained 50 pounds, so I might as well go ahead and eat xxx"). Go back to your post-surgery basics of eating as much as you can (lots of protein, only good carbs, lots of water between meals, etc.) and, as Robin suggested, track what you're eating so you can identify where the problems lies (if you don't already know).
I cannot imagine anyone on the Ohio forum dumping on you. We all had similar struggles and issues that made us obese in the first place, and we will all probably have SOME sort of struggle somewhere along the line with kicking bad habits, with bad habits or psychological issues creeping back in, or with keeping our weight off long term... so none of us here is in a position to judge anyone.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
All right you admitted it. Now is the time you can get back on it if you really want to. Or you can sit and feel sorry for yourself if you want. or you can do the steps you need to do and you know that people here myself included will support you in your efforts. It really is up to you. I have failed also. It doesn't stop me from trying and believeyou me I have had my butt kicked from here to kingdom come.
Now look at your success first of all.
Not dumping on you.
Tomorrow is a fresh day and you can go back to basics. Protein first then water then exercise
Then post and pay it forward and try to support someone else.
YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE YOU ARE JUST MISGUIDED
