Have any of you guys used Dr Trace Curry?  Can you tell me your experience with him.  A friend in OH is considering having lapband done and Im trying to help her with some research.
Thanks,

From what I know he is a really great doc and guy, I have heard him speak at a support group I attended several years ago in Cin, Ohio.   He really cares about his WLS people and is very well known in the area. He has clients from all over the US coming to him.   Right now he is also taking in people from another hospital that closed down there WLS program. Not every doc will take on someone else.
Here is his web site http://www.thebanddoctor.com/default/
I've been around here for over 5 years and I haven't heard ANYTHING BAD about him. You can't say that about ever doctor.
Who knows her might even come on here and answer for himself.
I really think your friend will be in GREAT HANDS.
As a side note I didn not use Dr.Curry because he was not around or not in my network when I had my WLS in 2003 I don't remember which.
Good Luck,
Robin

I started out with Dr. Curry.  his staff is wonderful.  his place in evendale is nice and he is a very nice doctor.

My out of pocket cost (solely because I didn't have any out of network coverage) was going too high and I had to switch surgeons.

I'm having the vgs on 10/7/08 with Dr. Curry and wouldn't wish for a more caring doctor.  He operated on my good friend (rny) 3 years ago and  I sat with her at the hospital today while he operated (rny) on her husband.  there are many doctors out there but from what I have heard from some of his other patients and my friend, he goes above and beyond.
I too am out of pocket but I don't think his prices are high compared to other surgeons in the area.

Hi Ginger,

Dr. Curry is my doctor.  My surgery was great, no problems and no pain.  His staff is also wonderful.  ...and I don't mind driving the hour and 1.2 it takes to have my fills.  The only thing that may be a problem for your friend is insurance.  Dr. Curry is no longer in network.  At least I don't think he is.  You will have to check into that.

Good Luck,
Peggy

Adding my praise!  Great staff, great nut program, great after care, excellent surgeon.  I had no complications, no pain, and theoffice and Dr. C himself gets back to you promptly (immediately sometimes) if you have questions.
