no insurance , hairdresser

I'm a BMI of 41 , and am 41. I am self employed (hairdresser) . How do i go forward to get surgery. I'm finally ready to stop making excuses. I need help

Since you are going to be SELF PAY you need  to  RESEARCH all the doctors in your area and RESEARCH all the different types of WLS there are then start going to info sessions to see what type of WLS and which doc are right for you.  I have heard that some docs will give a discount for self pay. 
As far as types of WLS you have
Duodenal Switch
Fobi Pouch GB
LAP-BAND®
Mini Gastric Bypass
 
REALIZE Band
Roux-en-Y
VBG
 
Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
After you chose your doc and WLS type you will need to follow whatever program they want. some want a 6 mo diet just like insurance others don't.
