Couldn't think of how to title it.... I have what I consider a major problem. I need a doctor to go to for check ups. I no longer have one. This is no secret to those of you who know me but other than having a major health issue and going to a hospital I have no options. I have made so many calls its rediculous and Bariatric Wellness did not give me any referals that I could use! I posted on the nutrition board in hopes of something but no replies. So here I am..... Any suggestions. I feel very alone now.

Hi Carla,
I dont know anything about your past history, but wanted to let u know how sorry I am for u having to go through all this without the confidence of your ( or any) doctor.  Does your primary care physician have anyone they can recommend? If u have insurance, does your plan have someone u can see? Sounds like a scary position for you and I hope u find someone quick to help you. I will be thinking of you and sending prayers your way. I too, had some complications after surgery for about 2 months, and really cant imagine being without the support of someone medically. Let me know how u r doing...

Like the other poster said do you have a PCP you can ask advice ???
If not you are in the middle of either coming North to Kettering/Sycamore
http://www.kettering-sycamorewls.org/
or Miami Valley Hospitals.   http://www.miamivalleyhospital.org/mvhservices.aspx?id=10358
If you go south you have a lot of Cincinnati hospitals/doctors to go to,
I know that Middletown is part of MVH so they should have been able to help you out sorry that they didn't.
Bariatrics and Weight Loss Surgery
Atrium Medical Center recently closed its Bariatric Wellness Center and has discontinued its comprehensive weight loss surgery program.  Within the Premier Health Partners system, Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton continues to offer a highly respected bariatric program.

Carla,
We normally don't take aftercare patients but we will take patients from Atrium as it seems you guys are all out there alone and need some help.

oh carla, I'd def. check out Dr. Curry and his staff.  Had I not had such a large out of pocket with him, I'd have stayed with them for sure.

the office in evendale is super easy to find.

I don't know how close you are to Toledo, but my surgeon always accepts patients from other surgeons for aftercare.

I have a fantastic PCP and she's right on Reading Rd next to St.Suzannah's.  I can't say enough nice things about her, and she's wls friendly.  One of her assistants is a RNY patient too.  She's young, and very attentive and kind.
