Weight Gain before surgery?

Did anyone have weight gain before your surgery?  I am scheduled for my pre-op this week and my lap-band surgery on 9-3-08, but I'm worried since I've actually gained some weight back since my insurance was submitted and approved that it will post pone my surgery even further.

Since you are already approved it's up to your doc is they want to post pone. A lot of docs will put you on a 2 week liquid diet ro shrink your liver. Mind didn't so I really don't know much about it.
Call your doc and see what they say before your pre op apt.

I do have to do the liquid diet.  I'll give them a call -- keep your fingers crossed!

Good news!  Weight gain wasn't an issue.  In fact, the gal that was in for the same appointment had gained weight too!!  I guess it is a common thing.  Plus, it wasn't like we'd gained 20 lbs.

I'm so excited to be taking this step.  It has taken so long to come to the decision to actually do it and change my life.  Is it wrong to be so excited about having surgery!!?!
