Approved and moving fast

Hi all- 

I just posted earlier this week as the newbie in Toledo who was awaiting insurance approval.  I received a call this morning that I have been approved.  Things happen pretty fast at this point....

I have my Physical Therapy appt this Friday, my 1st dietician visit next Wednesday (13th), and my surgeon visit next Thursday (14th). 

Did any of you find that you had butterflies in your stomach when you received the approval call?
I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!!!

Hi Mandy,My Name is Dave .I will Be seeing Dr. MartinHawver on Aug 12th And once Approved will Be Having Surgery at Christ Hospital.If you could give me some info on her I would Greatly Appriciate it,I have to Diet 6 months Prior,weigh 305 BMI 45.6,Due to 2 Back surguries in last 2 yrs.(Also at Christ,GREAT HOSPITAL) Any Info Would Help I am Scared ven after a7 hr spine surgery .......Imagine that    Thanks and Best Of Luck on your Rebirth .....Dave

Congrats on your approval.    I think we all get a little nervous prior to surgery.   Where are you having your surgery done at?   It will be over with before you know it!!

I'll be having my surgery done by Dr. Patrick White at the Toledo Hospital.  Where did you have your surgery?

I have heard good things about him.    I always have taken my kids when they were younger to Toledo Childrens.    I like that hospital. 

I had my surgery done in Bowling Green by Dr. Lane who has now moved to UTMC.  

It's just amazing how good I feel now.

I am so glad to hear that you got your approval.   Things will be moving pretty fast now, getting all you requirements done.  It can be exciting and scary.  Don't worry, everyone is great.  Cathy, Dr. White's nurse is absolutely wonderful.  She is the one who will actually be schedulling your surgery.  Start thinking about when you want to have it done.  I think when I went for the surgeon visit I set up my surgery day then.

Sorry but I will not be at the support group meeting tonight.  I have to work tonight.  I do look forward to meeting you in the future.

Thanks Caroline.  I am hoping to have my surgery close to the Labor Day Holiday.  My parents will be in town from California visiting.  They were very nervous in the beginning about this surgery and tried to talk me out of it.  Now that they know more about the surgery they are much more supportive.  I think it would help them and help me (by gaining more of their support) if they were here to see me come home. 

My husband, kids, and most friends are very excited for me and very supportive.

Cathy sounds very nice.  I got the call this morning and already have my PT appt, dietician appt, and Dr. consult within the next week.  The only thing that might keep me from getting a Labor Dayish surgery will be my 2nd dietician visit.  Currently the only opening for my second visit with the dietician is not until Sept. 15th.  Kristi is working to try and get a time sooner than that.
