Dr Martin to do my arms and the "other" procedure!
I had a consultation with Dr Martiin (in Blue Ash) today abut having my "bat wings" done later in the year. I figured that while I was there I would ask him about the mons lift that the PS who just did my panniculectomy wouldn't do. He said he did not understand why the PS didn;t want to do it... that he had already had to cut a vein just as large or larger in order to do the panni removal... and Dr Martin agreed with the vascular surgeon... the body would simply find another vein to use once that one was cut.
If I do the mons lift at the same time as my arms, It will only cost me about an additional $1500. (The all-inclusive bill for the bat wings (including lipo to get the best results and scars that are hidden underneath the arm), the auxilla removal (including the "side boobs"!), and the mons lift is $7700. That's a LOT of money, but I have already saved about $1500 (mostly out of my pre-op food budget!!!!) and my mom gave me $3000 from my dad's life insurance money, and I will have somwehere between 1200 and 1700 coming in from a special consulting project I agreed to do (with my PS fund in mind), and I will put the little bit that I will still be short on a credit card.
I cannot tell you how relieved I was to hear Dr Martin tell me that he could fix the mons, and how great (amd SMALL!) he thought my arms would look once he did the brachioplasty. I also apparently don;t need to wait until I hsve finished losing all the weight to have my arms done because the fat ;eft in them is all below... no fat left on the tops. SO I am hoping to have these procedures done in late September or early October so I will be all healed up and looking HOT for a presentation at a professional conference at the end of October.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
