Dr. Chlysta & AGMC

Is anyone a patient of Dr. Chlysta at Akron General? I noticed there are several people on here that are having problems with their dr/hosp/ins. I just wondered if my experience with my surgeon was unique or too good to be true. Dr. Chlysta's staff and AGMC seem very informed, are always attentive and answer all my calls or emails (which there are plenty of because I email or call every time I find something new in my research). I'd like to know if there are others out there pre/peri/post op. Thanks!

Hi Martha - i am a patient of Dr. Chylsta's.  I agree with you - the staff is wonderful, very helpful and supportive no matter which side of surgery you are on.  When I was preop - Kelly kept me informed of all my insurance process and I always found that my questions were answered as well, either on the phone or email.  Our group meetings are great too, and with Cathy and Dr. Chlysta leading, we really can count on really good support!
