Let's help this marine!
Dear Ohio board,
Gemma, our director of nursing, has communicated that her nephew, who is a marine in active duty, would like to have a few things to make their lives (and the kids around them) more comfortable. You can read about Brandon below, as well as the message he sent to Gemma. We are going to try to help this guy who is fighting for our freedom get all the stuff he wants and then some!
We are collecting the items listed below. If you are interested you can bring them to the office and drop them off if you are local, or send them to us and we will see that he gets them. The address is: Center for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery, 10475 Reading Road Suite 117, Evendale, OH 45241.

Hi Dr. Curry,
Here is the list of items that Brandon (my nephew) and his Marines would like to receive. I can’t thank you enough for offering to send the request out to your patients. I know that he and his troops will be so grateful and appreciative. I will bring a box in with his picture and a note from him so that if anyone would like to contribute, they will have a place to put the items.
Let me tell you a little bit about my nephew. His name is Captain Brandon Scott Keeton. He just received a promotion on July 1st. I am, as well as my whole family, very proud of him for what he has over come and achieved through his life. At 2 years old, my sister, his mom, was killed in a car accident. He was in the automobile with her. When the emergency crew got to the car, it was crushed from flipping twice down an embankment. They couldn’t get him out of the car until they had gotten her out because, in the accident, she pinned him underneath herself, saving his life. He grew up with a stepmother who took very good care of him and eventually he received a sister. He went to high school at Highlands and was in drama and football. During this time his dad got into drugs and became destructive to the family. His stepmother made the decision to divorce his father and Brandon chose to live with her and his sister. He chose to turn down a scholarship for drama to Morehead University to serve his country in the Marines. He went into the service after high school as an enlisted man and worked his way up as far as he could to the level of Sergeant. He has been in Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, and Panama. He later decided to continue his education, going to officer’s training at Miami University. Brandon is also married to his high school sweetheart Tanya and they have 4 beautiful daughters ages 2-12.
He left for Iraq in March around Easter and we are looking forward to seeing him at Christmas time. Please pray for his safe return.
Thank you, again, so very much and may God bless you.

Gemma,
Nice to hear from you! As far as needing anything, soccer balls are a big thing to pass out to the kids every now and then. That would be pretty cool. The Marines like Beef Jerky, peanuts, and weightlifting proteins. As far as myself, Gold Star and Dixie Chili is outstanding. Not a big fan of the Skyline in the can though. I have also grown addicted to Starburst candy when I can get it. Don’t know the reason for that though. I’m also into fitness out here (it’s just a phase, trust me!) and also like the chocolate protein mixes.
Say hi to everyone back there and keep in touch!
