You will be fine.  If they do not OFFER something to calm you down a bit the day of surgery while you are in the pre-op area, ASK for it.  (My IV got delayed and when my surgeon poked her head in to say we were about ready, I burst into tears because I was so scared.  Once she found out that I still didn't have an IV and therefore hadn't got anything for my anxiety, she fixed that PDQ!) Anxiety is normal, as everyone has already said, but so is the EXCITEMENT of knowing you will FINALLY be getting the weight off! Lora

Hey Bratette, I noticed you are with Dr. Bruce, so I'm assuming you are coming to the Dayton area for your surgery?  Please let me know if you would like a visitor when you are here as I am in the area.  Would love to come say hi if you are up for it.

You are an awesome person who is making a courageous and wonderful decision. Your kids will really notice a difference after a while also. Rest relax and think about where you would be if you did not have it. Would life be better or worse.  I think  you know the answer.

Congrats on getting a date...Just a friendly reminder to make sure you take your measurements before your surgery....I never thought about taking mine and now after losing 220 pounds I would give anything to know how many inches ive lost...Good luck with the liquid diet...Might get some sugar free popcycles....

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

ALong with measurements, take lots of pictures. A picture can be worth a thousand words, especially when you are discouraged and cannot see a loss.
