I have a date for surgery...July 1st!

Yay for me! I had my consultation at the Cleveland clinic with Dr. Philip Schauer last Thursday, and after a lot of information and a Q & A session (on my part), I was given a surgery date of July 1st. I have elaborated more on it in my profile along with my journey up to this point. I am soooo ready for this surgery...a little scared

, nervous

, and apprehensive

...but oh, so happy!

I've been spending a lot of time on the lap-band's main message boards...but I still pop in here to the Ohio board occasionally to see what's going on. Susie

Allergan 10 cc band: First fill: 4cc'c 9/8/08 Second fill: .9cc's 10/13/08
Third fill: 1cc 2/11/09.... Total in band -- 5.9cc's Very slooooow weight loss!

BW- 273 / CW -250 / GW- 170 Total weightloss to date: 23 lbs. ( in 10 months ) Sept. 22, '09-- Had .2 cc's removed from my band. Slowly gaining back the weight. Up 10 lbs. CW- 260 Lapband not working for me!

Angela....I see that you had the same surgeon that I will have doing my lapband. How did you like him for a surgeon? How did you like the Cleveland Clinic? I met, Dr. Schauer once, personally, and liked his demeanor and attitude. It took him an awfully long time to get to me, though. My DH and I had to wait over 3 hours to get to us in the waiting room. I realize he is a very busy doctor. But once he did get to me, I learned a lot from him, and also got my surgery date. How was your treatment by the staff when you went in for your surgery? How was your room...a private room? I guess I like to be prepared and not have any unexpected surprises. I read your profile, and was amazed that Dr. Schauer had such a difficult time finding your port to give you a fill. Did you finally get your fill under flouro? Susie
