Finding Myself Sinking into Depression

Oh my sweety, I just want to give you a big hug! I had surgery the same day as you and I have felt a little blue here and there but try to go out in the sun when I do. First, do not feel as if you're a cry baby for calling the doc - it's what you paid him for and it's their job! Second, offer to make your husband a big cup of shut-the-f*** -up   Does he not realize you just had major surgery??  Don't beat up on yourself for feeling this way - it will pass. I was excited to get on pureed foods and today I snuck a fish stick from my kids (but chewed it to mush)! Every day holds more growth and more loss - chin up!!!

NO man or woman is worth your tears... and the one who IS,
won't make you cry!!

everyone recovers at a different pace.  Take your pain medicine, I'd like to suggest taking half a pill.  This is only if you have a pill, not a capsule.  Definately go to the clinic and be seen.  I went back to work at 6wks post op-I needed the money.  I was taking naps for about 3 weeks after I returned to work. I was lucky, the people at work were very helpful and wouldn't let me overdIo. (I work in a hospital.)  Have your husband read some of these post-and not just yours- it wil give hiom an idea of what everyone goes through and not just the " textbook" that we are told about pre-op.
