getting nervous about hernia repair on 5/27
I trust my surgeon, and I know that the recovery from this cannot possibly be as bad as my less-than-smooth recovery from the open RNY, but I am still getting nervous. Mostly because I don't know how large the incision will be ( the "pooch" from the hernia extends from the top of my RNY incision to below my waist, even though my RNY incision ends right AT my waist... so my fear is that she'll have to make an even larger incision than what I already have.
It takes whatever it takes to fix it, of course.... but I'm still getting nervous. On the other hand, I have a lot of stress in my life right now (job uncertainty, dad is under hospice care and will probably pass very soon, etc.) so a little bit of "down" time taking good drugs and watching movies is starting to sound appealing...
