Support Group Toledo Area

I am generally new to this website.  I was wondering if there is a support group meeting in Toledo or near Toledo.  I see that there is one at Toledo Hospital but it says for patients only.  I have been going to Dr. Lane in Bowling Green and will be scheduling my surgery date soon. Thanks for your help!

Wood County Hospital used to have a support group...has that disbanded?  I'd ask Dr Lane's office for dates.  I only attended a couple of times, but stopped because I was the only DS'ers there.  My questions were surgery specific and the RNY rules just didn't/don't apply. I do attend and speak at the information sessions sometimes, if that helps at all. Kimby

I saw this in the Toledo Blade... and was going to call them.. I don't know who runs it or which Doctor it supports.. but can't hurt to try ...
Bariatric support group meets the second Monday of each month from 6-8 p.m. at 3909 Woodley Rd. Information: 419-291-6740.

Hi! I am a patient of Dr. White's and there are a few people who come to support group that have had their surgeries done by someone else. It is the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm at the Promedica Woodley building off of Sylvania by Westfield Mall. Feel free to come! Hope to see you there! Malissa

I attend the BG support group meetings they are the 4th monday of the month at the hospital at 7pm.     You are welcome to come before surgery too.    If you PM me I can give you the leaders email and she can give you more info.   Dr Lane did my surgery!  Good Luck!!

Dr.Lane did my surgery ( I love that man!!!!) but anyway so far i have only been to the one at toledo hosp.(twice) because i have a friend who had dr. white they all knew i was going to dr. lane nobody made me feel funny. but this month i want to go the one in BG  it is suppose to be may 26th but that is memorial day. the next one at toledo hosp. is june 4th. if anyone wants someone to go with let me know   THANKS Becky

I did get notice that the support group meeting is changed for this month.    Support Group meeting will now be May 19, 2008 at 7PM at Wood County Hospital.     If you need any more details just let me know.  Hope to see you there!

Heather, It is in the back by the Emergency Room.  The door before you get up to the Emergency Room doors and there is meeting rooms right inside the door.  Usually it is in the first room but it has also been down in the Guild room.   It's easy to find.    You have an unfair advantage because you have seen my picture so you will have to tell me who you are!!   Hope to meet you soon!
