It really all depends on your insurance and your doc. Some docs have PROGRAM FEES that are not covered by insurance. Mine did not. I only had to pay about $250 MAX out of pocket and that was for the hospital also.  Good Luck,  Robin

I believe we have the same insurance and I have not had any out of pocket fees.  I go to Dayton to Dr. Bruce & Clary

I went to St Vincent in Cleveland and have Medical Mutual and my out of pocket was about 1400$. I am making monthly payments now. Most places do let you set up a payment plan.

Yes, it will vary based on your insurance coverage.  My out of pocket was around $1500 for the pre-surgery testing and the surgery itself.  (I had the same surgeon Robin had, so there was no program fee for me, either.) Lora

I'm going through The Bariatric Center at City Hospital in Akron. My out of pocket has been a few co-pays. A few things insurance hasn't covered, and my Program Fee is $1720.00. Plus I will be on Optifast for 6 weeks...another $700.00+

im going to st vincents in cleveland, right now the only out of pocket was for my updated psych eval only b/c I have buckeye (medicaid) but im sure there are more to come. (i had already paid my fee during my first round) I really wanted to go to akron city but their program fee was outrageous  (back when i first started my journey I had a few copays) but yes, out of pocket is alot and it would help if the insurances would help with some since its pretty much stuff that they want for approval
