clothing that is NOT plus-sized!

OK, keep in mind that I had to lose 50 pounds (!) after surgery before I lost even ONE clothing size.  It was SO depressing.  Yesterday, I had to buy some new pants (I just *love* the Lands End sport knit pants -- soft and comfy, good for work and play, good for all seasons) because everything I own is baggy (the waist needs to accommodate the hernia and then the hips and legs are too big), so I got a pair of the Lands End pants (the non-binding waist accommodates my "alien" (hernia))... and I got an XL!!!  "Regular petite" instead of "plus petite"!!!  And, to make today an even better day, the blouse I am wearing is an 18/20 and there is plenty of room in it!  I''m sure it's partially the cut, but it is still something  I purchased years ago in the ladies section of a "regular" store. I am only a couple of pounds away from "Onederland"... waiting anxiously {translation: not very patiently} to move that large scale weight to the 150 instead of the 200! Lora

14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained

That is so-o-o cool!  I just hit 52lbs lost and finally went down to a size 22 bottoms and 20 top.  I had a few things in the lower size, but now I am having trouble with nothing to wear.  And since it is still cold in NE Ohio, I don't want to buy winter stuff that won't fit next year.  It is a delightful dilema - I will have to go shopping soon!  I can't wait to be in something other than the "x" sizes, just want small numbers.

Now that your breaching the regular sizes, you need to be scoping out the consignment shops.  Snooty fox here in Cincy has 6 locations -- one right off the Tylersville Rd exit from 75.  It's a great feeling, that's for sure.  I still find myself browsing the plus sizes before I realize where I am.   Why didn't they have those cute plus styles when I was plus sized?!?!?!
