Hi Beth! I bought.... one that Janome makes, and it is an Embroidery ONLY machine!  Another sewing machine i didn't need, hence the embroidery only.  Then I bought the software so i can digitize.  What to make.....hmmmmmm i think I am going to embroider Christmas stockings for everyone.  I will embroidery their nmes on them too.  That will be my goal for this year!  LOL  I have 5 kids  and they each have a husband or wife. and then 5 grandkids.  I have some sewing to do.   Plan on next year!  You can stay at my house.  Check out the site... go to IX center - then sewing expo!  You can buy fabric....but that wasnt all they had.  I spent lots...besides the machine.  :-)   LOLThere were people there from NY, Las Vegas, PA, Columbus, Cinti.... everywhere.  BIG show!

I am a Janome girl.... last year I finally got a serger, Janome of course.... and this years big prezzie was a knitting machine, although I still have not figured it out.

i got the 350E... i couldnt believe by not taking the one with all the sewing features, it is in-expensive.  I have another sewing/embroidery machine by viking too... but do not have the software for it, therefore it is just a sewing machine.  The software also will let me download on that one too, but it is very old and limited.  My son wants me to do digitizing for him... his logo..and it's big.  The viking i have doesnot and wont ever...do any thing over 4 x 4.  I think I am making a good decision!  Going to bed... ok... we have a date.  Tell me more about your knitting machine.  :-)

I checked out the specs, very nice machine, and it has a big field too. Sounds like a lot of addicting fun... I would love to see pictures of your projects. Well I purchased a Passap E6000 knitting machine. I try to drive up to medina to meet up with a machine knitting group. They almost all have Passaps. so they are trying to help... but I just need to sit down for a day or 2 to figure out the basics. It is a double bed, and is not as inutive as a single bed model. But once it is done, I should be able to load it and turn it on.... then come back to a sweater that just needs to be pieced together.  I had always wanted one of these..... then I found one on craigs list with in my price range. That was a happy day!

I've been having my Designer 1 (Viking) for 5 years now.  When I bought it I was buying it for the sewing part of it not the embroidery.  But since I've been having it, I've enjoyed and used the embroidery part of it so much.  More than plain sewing.  Congratulations on your purchase! Peggy
