psych eval in akron area

for anyone who is in the akron area, where did you go for your psych eval and how much did you have to pay ????

Hi Shellbear, I had my psych evel done at Akron General Hospital in the Psychology dept. by Dr. Gilbertson.  Not only did he give the eval., but I counseled with him for 6 months before I had my RnY surgery.  I truly believe I was prepared for the best possible outcome with the counseling.  Great guy!  Now, the price.  I am not sure what he/they charge since I had/have insurance and the eveluation and the counseling was covered 100%.  If you want, I could give you him number in PM.   Judi

I also see Dr. Gilbertson and I pay a copay of $25 each time.  I don't think insurance covers all of his fees - so I think I had to pick up some of that - sorry can't remember the exact amount, something like $50 more.  Good luck with your visit.
