WLS supportive PCP in Columbus area???
Thanks for the suggestions. I guess by "supportive" I mean someone who might actually refer a patient for WLS, not someone who thinks it is an awful thing to do and that all people should be able to lose weight through diet and excercise alone. If I could have done that, I wouldn't ve had this surgery :-) When I was in grad school, I had to go to a doctor at a university hospital (because of school insurance). I talked with her about my weight issues and even asked about medication. She told me that I just need to "get used to being hungry" and try weigh****chers. Needless to say, that advice didn't really help and made me feel like a complete failure. I don't mind someone who is honest with me...we all need a kick in the pants sometimes. I just want someone who is not going to treat me like I am a weak and horrible person for having this surgery. I know there are doctors who think that, and there are those who don't. I want one who doesn't...and someone who understands at least the basics of this surgery.
