MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Hi,

Dr. Schumacher takes Medicare..I would think if he would take Medicaid.
I would only go to him..So ask for him...He does know what he's doing. And that means a lot when looking for a surgeon who knows his trade..He's down to earth.

I was told that Buckeye covers absolutely no type of WLS. I had caresource & went to the cleveland clinic. Dr. Brethaur was my surgeon & he was wonderful. Kind, careing & cute:) I had to do 9 months supervised first but i was approved within 4 business days. Maybe you should try switching to caresource.

Could you do me a favor and forward all of that info to me as well I have Buckeye as well and live in the Akron/ Canton area. Any help would be appreciated!

A Dr. Lalor accepts buckeye and paramount I heard, i havent called them yet. also that its harder for Buckeye to approve you, then paramount. Thats why i switched to paramount medicaid. Both will approve you for WLS, just buckeye has more stipulations to get you approved. My insurance (Paramount advantage) told me that Dr. TImothy Duckett is contracted through then, and dr. lane. BUT DR. LANE in TOledo, is no longer practicing there he up and left. i had a surgery date for april and now he is gone. HOPE that helps! message me if you find out anything else!

I have Buckeye and am going to Dr. Lalor he and his staff are super. I had to do 6mos. supervised diet and lots of testing. now waiting for approval

Hi all I had my surgery done in Dayton at Miami Valley Hospital and John P Maguire and Donaven Teal and they have a new partner that I can not even atemp to spell his name. I have Mollina and when I was taken off of the regular Ohio medicaid back in 07 and put on mollina it took them a whole 27 days to approve me. They also take care source and ameria group as well as medicare and private pays. There number is 937-208-5300 and are located in the hospital it is premear Baritrics. Good Luck to all Taff

I have Caresource and I was just approved at the Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Schauer.
It took them 3 days to approve me and my surgery is scheduled for March 23.

Just wanted to say I have Medicare as my primary and did fine.  Had my surgery 1-26-09 at  Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Schauer...I was a hard one for him as I was a revision and had other side issues like COPD and lot of previous surgeries... Good luck with you surgery, I am pleased with mine...

Dear Pat I am from Warren Ohio and I need to have these surgery as I had not help with followin up after my surgery in 1981 I previously had a jujeum bypass. I was wonder did you like Dr.Schauer? and how did you find him. I have MS and use the CCF . could you give me some idea od what Dr.Schauer is like?

Hi there, I really liked Dr. Schauer and found that he is one of the Dr. that wil work with you if you have had previous surgery and other complications.. He seems to be a caring person.  A friend of mine said his wife used Dr. Schauer so research him on the web.  I also have COPD and had stomach stapling in the 80s plus 3 hernia surgeries.  Plus I am 64  that was a lot going against me, and he said I really should be thankful any one would touch me, which I am,  I think he is one that will take a risk for you if that is what you want...there are a couple others at the Clinic that are really good also, I just decided on him and glad I did,  Hope this helps.
