that is all I know I have Molina so I am going to call Dr Schumacher myself on Monday to set up appointment for revision/fix of dialated stoma.
OK I just saw Dr. Rodriguez at cincinnati Deaconess hospital...
Although he does take Caresource, Molina & Medicaid, His team has yet to get any of them actually approved. Nice guy though, and appreciate his candidness about insurance.
Just an FYI before you make the drive...
Oh and I also called caresource and asked for a list of bariatric providers. They said that they didnt have one and I was to get a refferal from my PCP. Well, it seems like the PCP havent a clue who takes caresource. I am really glad to see a list forming here.
I am going to be making some calls tomorrow.... Cleveland Clinic is at the top of my list.
Today I talked to Cleveland Clinic... Caresource is contracted with them. 9 mos dr's supervised weight loss program, and one co morbidity
But they get all of the caresource, medicaid and I think molina approved... something changed I think with buckeye.
Dayton area Trivedi / Shumacher both take Caresource... but not sure who else.
Cincinnati Deaconess hospital has not gotten anything approved for medicaid insurance... they wanted me to take out a loan.... after I drove over 2 hours to get there! Yeah that $80 in gas could have bought a new pair of cute shoes.
Dayton Bariatrics NO Medicaid insurances
Mt Carmel Columbus No luck with getting Medicaid to pay
Ketterington Rita Anderson No medicaid
I got this list.... http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/OH/a,list/type,46/
Since I want a VSG, it narrowed the list a lot.
Hi  I had my surgery done at Deaconess in Cincinnati, however my PCP got me approved for surgery. Then it just just took a foot up ... well Medicaids &*^ [actually through a Senator] to get the name changed from my PCP to a surgeon. That was over 3 yrs ago now, I know things have changed, but perhaps try to get ahead with your PCP. I had my PCP, "fill in the blanks" from the form letter that was provided on this site. Not sure if it's still on here, but it just might be! OUR PCP's know us better than the surgeons anywho's. Good Luck, Vickie
Hello everyone.
Dr. Kerlakian did my surgery, and well unless I'm a charity case, his practice also accepts Medicaid and Medicare.
If you are in the Cincinnati area, and are interested.
His contact information can be found here.
