I HAVE GREAT WEST INSURANCE, DO I HAVE A CHANCE.

I have great west insurance, my doctor has submitted everything thats required, my bmi is 47 and I use a CPAP machine, do I have a chance for approvel.

Jeanette, It doesn't matter so much what insurance you have, it's more about whether or not you have surgical weight loss benefits. You can call your policy benefits number and find out. Good luck, Dr. C

I also have Great West Insurance. I have been denied once. I requested a copy of their requirements to get approved. I am finishing my 6 months of dieting with PCP next week. I also had to have a psy eval and meeting with nutritionist. My surgeon should be sumitting to insurance by next week. Let me know if you have any questions. Best of Luck....

Thanks for the reply,do you have great west ppo? I had my psy-eval and meet with a nutritionist, I was not told I had to have a 6 month diet with my pcp, hope that wont hold me up. Which surgery are you having, iam going with the lap-band, keep in touch and best of lucK.
