From all the sitting and laying on my back. My surgery was last tuesday...can anyone tell me when I'll be able to lay on my side???

Man do I remember that pain. Took me about a month until I could actually lie on my side. I did find a way a few weeks post to kind of lie that way, take a pillow and prop it under your belly to hold it up and give support, that might help with the pain. Also, make sure you have a good pillow behind your back to support you there. It's actually a pregnancy pillow trick but I found it to work with this also. Good luck and feel better, it will get easier. Pam 314/130

My sister bought me one of those body pillows. Long enough to wrap almost around my hip area to enable me to lay on my side. As I am a side sleeper, it was a blessing!

The tail bone thing killed me for months. But it didnt start to hurt until I lost alot of weight and it was boney. Some how I out grew it. Now it doesnt hurt anymore. I thought I was going to need surgery it was so bad. Also my feet shrunk a inch. I am just this little lady when I look in the mirror. I think god your so tiny. Everything I have dreamed about. Best luck to you Barb

Good GOD a month?? Ok...thats ok...I can set my sights on that and if it happens sooner it will be an early blessing. I can kind of hitch my hips to the side and relieve a little bit of pressure, but if I go to far it pulls the old tummy. I have turned into sucha whiner...lol...hope this passes too! I'm going to get me a big body pillow, and maybe a hemerrhoid pillow to sit on...I'm willing to try just about anything. Thanks for all your support!! Oh yea...One month out....how are you feeling?? Normal?? Still sore? How much weight? Just curious...(I don't know why I need to have a guideline, but it helps me...)

I was pretty convinced my tail was longer than normal and even asked my gyn about it. I still think it pokes out weirdly. -149.5 lbs. since 12/05/05

Every bone I found I thought I had found a tumor of some sort. I hadnt a clue there were bones under all that fat. LOL Sometimes I still plop myself down in a chair like i did when I was 310 pounds and my pancake hiney hurts like heck. It takes a long time to adjust to your new body, but so much fun discovering all those new things, Seeing your feet, remembering you have a private area ( as my granny called it, your Coosie Johnson, LOL) and seeing your complete thighs when sitting down. I had so much tummy it covered half of my thighs.. I always thought I had really short legs until I lost weight. You have a great day Princess. Laura
