So is this forum really dead, or does no one post off topic stuff?

Every now and then I have an off topic story that is family friendly.  But it looks like I might have to dig this place up if I want to post them here.  Is that true?  Where else do we "chew the fat", so to speak?

You're wecome to post here, but most people just post on the main board.

We used to have an unmoderated Rants and Raves board, but too many people complained that we were a bunch of meaniepants, and it was shut down. They created this Off Topic board to replace it, which as you can see gets just about zero traffic.

Thank you.  I enjoy writing as a past time, and occasionally write about things in a humorous way.  Some of them are related to my bariatric journey, and some don't really fit.  I don't want to go posting somewhere where I don't really belong.  Maybe we can resurrect this.  Already there are three new posts.  ;-)

There is a fair amount of off topic stuff all over the other boards. No one is particularly strict about it.

So few people ever look in here, not many will notice new posts.

  So there's no list of new posts where it might show up?  I guess I will figure something out. Thanks. 

In each subforum, the most recent and most active posts are listed. But only in that forum.

Trending topics as well as blog posts are listed on the OH home page, but they can get pushed off pretty quickly.

I can see how that would happen. I've been on some big forums in the past, but this thing is huge!  I suspect a list of "all new posts" would be somewhat overwhelming. 

Bill, feel free to post off topic on any board.  We don't have guidelines that say keep it to the specific boards.    You are welcome to post to any.  We do from time to time, direct new members or posters to a board that might get more visibility if they ask a question and that is about it.

Thank you, Nik.  I have been on boards where they threaten to ban you for posting in the wrong place, so I like to make sure.  

We don't do that here.      If you stick to TOS, you are good!
