Delete a post BECAUSE I was helpful?

Very interesting that after all the lectures in manners today, the post where I kindly explained the meaning of OP, resulted in the thank you being deleted?   Why would you do that when you have spent most of the day criticising people for being mean?

The crazy train is at maximum speed today.  Unfortunately, common courtesy and gracious behavior has devolved into deleting posts to cover up bad behavior.  I think that's sad.

After reading posts on OH for months, I don't understand how some people passed their psych evaluations.

And then people ask why the real vets don't bother to post here anymore.

Who cares if someone deletes a post.... After seeing people attacked on here, I don't blame people for deleting their posts. Then trying to calm the haters down for attacking you for expressing an idea, you get attacked for deleting the post. You can't win. Also what's this about rewriting history?? I don't understand how deleting a post means your rewriting history. Some people must be very bored with their lives. If you want to delete your post, DELETE IT. Who cares...

His post is rambling and makes little sense he must have been on the sauce tonight  to go with his popcorn !!

What an ass, why would you unblock, post on someone's thread and then block them again?  Oh yeah, because you are chicken **** ...   Perhaps we should introduce them - they make a right pair!

In the past, people have delete posts and then CLAIMED that they didn't say something that they DID.  They removed the "evidence".  People often do it when they stir up some crap and then claim that they didn't participate let alone start anything, or when they post something that directly contradicts something else they wrote (liar, liar, pants on fire), or when they want to play the victim when, if they left their posts in place, it would be clear that they were not the victim    of anyone/anything.

In many cases, but not all, it is disingenuous at least.  A little like blocking someone, unblocking them to post a quarrelsome or annoying reply to them and then re-blocking them so they cannot reply back to what you wrote.  Cowardly...

I get really irritated when people delete posts, or entire threads. They are just trying to rewrite history and make themselves look better.

Stand behind what you write. Apologize if you need to. Add additional explanation. But don't delete.
