Ah, the Woodlands would have been my next guess.

Being overweight is now considered a problem of "the poors", actually. After having been an indicator of wealth, being overweight is now much more common among those with lower incomes. Being thin is a status thing. It demonstrates that you have the resources (time and money) to keep yourself healthy and your weight down. When you're poor and live in food deserts, it's very, very difficult to eat properly or have the time to exercise. It's very sad.

Not just a status of finances but of intelligence and capability as well.  I'm guilty, I will not use a physician who is extremely overweight, when I'm making a judgement call I use that as one of my indicators.  At the same time I will not use a physician who looks down on me for being overweight.  But then again I won't use a gyn with hangnails :)

The Woodlands, Texas?  It's a beautiful area, with miles and miles of jogging, walking, bike trails.  Clean as can be, great shopping, fantastic restaurants and has become quite a business center.  Homes retain their value quite well and yes it is an upscale area.  There is wonderful entertainment, concerts, art shows, you name it, the Woodlands has it... The area puts tons of money into the upkeep of the area and I appreciate how they have demanded that neighborhoods and shopping centers retain a natural greenbelt.

Are there the social snots who think they are sophisticated and look down on everyone else.. yep  And like I said I'm sure the cat fights amongst neighbor can become silly, but it's safer then a lot of areas, and a great place to raise children.  If I had young kids I'd be in their school district.

Oh so you hated all of Texas, seeing how someone was talking about the Houston area I assumed  you were also referring to that.. so nuts of me to make assumptions.   But to hate all of Texas is pretty amazing, I'm sure you didn't see all of Texas as there are many outstanding places to visit ... But yes I live in a wonderful area, I prefer places that are safe, clean, and respected by the residents, makes life easier.

YES, I hated all of Texas, WE spent a lot of time touring, Yes we did Houston, YUCK, we went to many safe, respectable places, my plan for TEXAS is to put it on my  "never to visit again list" , like I said I am SURE THERE are many who are not fans of Illinois, I get it, not a problem for me:)  what ever, you can yammer all you want, YOU will not change my mind of that disgusting state. so yes, it is nuts of you to make assumptions. night all

The Woodlands is an okay area. It's become commercialized, materialistic and over crowded; however, it is in Houston and is therefore not a great place to have a decent quality of life.  Sure, you can have a huge house for cheap, cheap, cheap but you can only stand to be outside for a few months of the year.

Why can you only be outside a few months of the year?
