Guns and Sex

I feel the same way. I've been around guns all of my life. I also have my permit and I hope I never have to use it, but I feel good knowing I have a fighting chance if I need to defend myself. 

Problem is people get offended so easily nowadays. Plus so many people believe that if they aren't happy something MUST be changed. I know when I don't like something (like a forum topic) I don't read it, but that is common sense and it is so very uncommon today.

I understand why they moved them, and perhaps it was also an attempt at livening a dead board by bringing awareness to the people who would be willing to go to OT but think the sex before/after board might be filled with twisted sex maniacs?

Oh believe me, if that place livens up, they will come (shudder)!  

If you love a bit of drama, it was a great place - lots of backline PM's, affairs, lying about being married etc   Could almost guarantee a cluster after an OH conference - and all played out on the board eventually - the FB groups took that over though - I think they lasted a month or two before they imploded!

With all the skin slapping applause?  I recognize it will happen to me as well but i'm still cringing at the thought.

Forget the gun talk, we need to start a thread about swords!

Swords like that are sexy, but killing or maiming with a sword is a much more personal act than firing a gun.  I was raised by Irish parents who hated guns.  My father told us that if we pointed a gun at someone and it was empty, the devil would put a bullet in there and make it go off.

He hated the cowboy era when we all had toy cap pistols and wore them on plastic holsters with cowboy hats and boots.  I remember one day my sister had caps in her pocket and they went off with a lot of smoke and noise.

I thought about taking up fencing at one time.  Not as self-defense, but for the exercise and graceful movements.  I never carried when younger or wanted a gun in my house.

Hitler was careful to make sure Jewish people were not able to own firearms before the Nazis started knocking on doors and taking people away.  They would have thought twice if they feared their knocks being answered by someone pointing an assault rifle.
