Why are you trying to discourage canine entrepreneurs? What if that dog has a legitimate idea for a home-based small business and your lawn happens to be a good spot for marketing? :-p

Oh, no! You mean I am denying it an opportunity to improve its station in life?  Well  if I catch it it will be homeless as I shall do something very nasty indeed to its owner.

To be honest I care more about my mediaeval cobble stones!

- "Special snowflake syndrome" (people who think they are as unique as snowflakes and deserve to be treated as special and beautiful no matter how horrible and/or unimpressive their behavior may be)

- People who believe the plural of "anecdote" is "data" (hint: it's not! Come back with n > 30 and we'll talk)

- Eye makeup that melts and makes me look like a raccoon within 20 minutes (i.e. 90% of it)

- Activist groups who think that evolution shouldn't be taught in schools because it's "just a theory" and you can't see it (technically, so is gravity, but I don't see anybody claiming that discussing why we don't go flying off the ground into space threatens anyone's sincerely-held religious beliefs)

People who are ungracious and won't accept or acknowledge apologies

People who are lazy

People who think everything they say is interesting

People who don't use their blinkers

People who are desperate for attention

People who can't handle open communication and dialog

People who lie about their experience and/or credentials

And most of all, hypocrites

And now, the million-dollar question... Which is worse: people who don't use blinkers at all, or the ones who forget to switch them off after changing lanes??

The knuckle heads who leave their blinkers on?  I usually drive faster than they do so they're not in my eyesight for long.

Now that threw me! In the people UK blinkers are things you out in horses to partially cover their eyes so they are not starled by things to the side! So if we talk of blinkers we mean someone is not seeing anything! So I had this image of lots of drivers with blindfolds!

Typical bloody Americans!  Just help themselves!

Actually, being rude apart, I find it fascinating how some things have NOT changed. Like you saying gotten. Seems standard usage?? Over here it has totally died out. So on some things you have kept the originsl where we haven't.
