I am newly sleeved and I am wondering if anyone knows of a support group in NYC either in Manhattan or the Bronx. I only seem to find information sessions connected to hospitals for people looking to have surgery. Any information that anyone has will be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Conference Fitness
I am 75 miles away in NJ and am excited to be attending the conference in less than 2 weeks. I will be away from my regular gym routine and want to know if any of my Long Island bariatric friends can get someone in to do yoga and/or zumba to get us moving in the AM or PM.....I'll be arriving early Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday. I would pay up to $10 a class. Any suggestions???? I am NOT a walker, too boring!

Topic: Recipe Swap at the Long Island Conference
There is going to be a table at the Long Island Conference for everyone to bring copies of their favorite WLS friendly recipes to swap and share. With the holidays and holiday parties fast approaching , this will be a good chance to try something new and share one of your favorites. I would suggest making 50+ or so copies of each recipe. I'm sure the hotel has a copier if someone runs short. I'll try and bring a ream of paper so there should'nt be an issue using the copier. See everyone at the conference.

I'm looking to find someone in the Albany, NY area who has had or will have VSG within two months of Oct. 17th. I know that there is a support group at my local hospital, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want a friend to travel this journey with. Thanks!
