Topic: Anyone have any experience with Fidelis Care NY
I currently have Fidelis Care Ny and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of insurance. I know they approve the surgery but am not sure how quick the process is. I called and they told me 3 days but that's a little hard to believe b/c a few people I have talked to said they heard it takes 2-4 weeks... Anyone have this insurance if so please let me know how it went..

You have everything covered....

I'd bring a light jacket...In case you want to walk to one of the nearby dining establishments....or just go outside...

I'd also bring something comfortable to walk in - some people might coordinate a walk either near the hotel or in NYC....

Katie Jay, a motivational speaker for WLS will be holding a conference Oct 21 & 22nd in Watertown, NY at Hilton Garden Hotel. The cost is $57.  The room is about $109 if you decide to spend the night.  (it might be quite a commute).  This is very inexpensive for what information/motivation she will offer.  She has written several popular WLS books.  Maybe consider bringing some friends with you to this retreat?  If you want a link to sign up, give me your email address.  Thanks!  And good luck to you.  Lynette

Topic: First OH Event
This will be my first OH event and I am trying to pack this weekend, but really don't know what to bring or prepare for.
Here is what I have put together so far:
- costume for meet and greet
- 50 copies or a few recipes
- work out clothes & swimsuit (if Dr. clears me by then)
- clothes for the fashion show (i assume "business casual" is fine)
- plan on wearing jeans and sweaters on Fri. and Sat (? is that about right?)

Is there anything else I should bring?
My Mom is coming with me and keeps asking me questions about what to bring what is going on etc. and I just keep saying I'm not completely sure.  I don't want to get up there and then wish I had....

Thanks for your responses!  Looking REALLY forward to this and hoping it is the refresh I need with life right now! :-)

I like the idea but not sure how easy it would be to get a secured location, maybe talk to [email protected] and if she can get location and time set, I can suggest a few local zumba instructors,  let me know.

Thank you soooo much!!! My first surgeon wasn't the greatest but they all started out so nice. So it is very good to hear that patients of Dr. Buchin are still happy with him after surgery.  I am very nervous about going in on Monday for surgery, but I have my final preop appt with Dr. Buchin tomorrow afternoon.  As far as insurance they know their stuff. I am so shocked they got me approved with only 2 months of a pre-op diet!!!! Good luck with you surgery and thank you so much for replying.
