Hello there Thanks for posting, it has come back slowly for sure but at a steady rate once I fell back into my old habits. For me it was forgetting I had an addiction (Food) and started to act "Normal" like everyone was treating me then. Well we can never be relaxed with this for sure, it is something we have to always remember and work on just like any other addict.
If we could get others to post the food for the day that might be great for our NY board but I am not sure there are many that want to do this here. WAKE UP NY.....LOL Well you know once you get moving some time we forget that we need to support.
RNY 6/6/2005, Surgery weight was 290 lbs
Lost 140 Lbs (down to 150 lbs)
Regained 80 lbs (back to 230 lbs)
Re-lost 7 lbs (now 223 3/3/11 and moving down )
GOOD MORNING NY!!
Yes it is a lovely day here in Upstate - I'm only a few miles from you Lisa. I had my surgery at Albany Med last year and attend the weekly support group there.
I have a somewhat laid back day planned. I was going to go for a long walk but I've got a dehydration induced headache that I need to resolve by 1pm so I can go to Cohoes Music Hall for Gypsy. So right now I am busy sipping water and chilling in front of the computer with the TV on.
I'll try to be better about posting here. There does need to be more activity. I think I need to get my group peeps more involved!
Have a fab day everyone! Deb

I usually don't post much anymore...toooooo much drama.
I live in Owego NY...not too much going on here. I do attend support group meetings in Ithaca, which is where I had my RNY (7/08).
I really haven't read much on the NY board, but I'm going to pop in more often. I do read and sometimes post on the OFF board (over 50 forum)
So what's happening in NY?????
If you want more info on me...here goes .l have lost just about 200 pounds..had more complications than you can count on both hands and am visiting my surgeon this week just to see if I have another hernia. I've had 9 surgeries since my RNY..( let me see..1,2,) yeah about 9..some were weight loss related the others....we don't quite know if they were weight loss related or not.
My last surgery was in Feb. for an incisional hernia...tummy wise I think I'm bionic by now.
My support group in Ithaca is fantastic and we all love our surgeon.
Guess thats enough for now..i'm off shopping for a bathing suit for an aqua class that starts in two weeks...
ta ta for now..

Am I bugging ya yet??
Want to know if there is anyone doing the Walk for Obesity in Schenectady next month.
If so I would love to meet ya!
Lisa
Just thought I would pop in and say .
Another nice sunny day here in Upstate. Sipping coffee and trying to get my oldest in gear to go shopping. He says he NEEDS short sleeve shirts. While I am there I guess I will HAVE to pick up a few things.
Ok, we are still slow on the traffic here on this forum. Let's go! I know there are lots of people from NY!
I am not gonna start sharing any secrets unless I have people that are going to listen!
So tell me what are you folks up to today???
Lisa
Welcome! You have come to the right place! Did it creep up over 5 yrs or pounce on you quick???
This is one of my fears being 15months out. Forever thinking I am going to wake up at my old weight.
I have been trying to get on this thread at least every day to get us NYer's going. We can do an accountability thread like theone on the main board (WETEO). We can start an evening post that list our foods for the day and that way it helps with accountability of what we are eating. Or you can hop on this evening over there.(MAin board-WETEO thread).
Come back often so we can Wake Up NY!
Lisa
Just came in from sitting in the sun trying to get some Vit. D that all us NYer's are deficient in!
Brrrr.....it is pretty cool out there though. Had to put my long sleeve turtleneck sweater back on! Too bad it is so windy and cool because the sun is awesome!
Went to a few garage sales again this morning and I got this great cute American Eagle jacket. Like a spring jckt with a lining for $2! Also 3 pair of tan pants Aeropostale for a buck a piece. I love garage sales!
Eating kinda sucks.....I am soooo unorganized in planning. I have only had coffee w/ flavored creamer, 1/2 banana, 2 PB protein balls, bite of ham, iced coffee. Would like to go out for dinner tonight.Feeling like soup or something.
Last night went to a great place and had some ribs. Did I talk about this already?????
My hubby had a sandwich called the "3 Little Pigs" It had pulled pork, ham and bacon with coleslaw on top on a bun, It was huge! I took a bite of the pork, ham and slaw and it was delish!
My vacation is nearing an end. We are off for spring break. Didn't really do much or anything I had hoped to do as far as cleaning out closets etc. I guess I will have to take a day off for that!
So how is everyone doing??? I would love to hear from ya! Let me know what stage you are in as far as your WL journey, what type you have had, any issues and maybe some "good eats"!
I am always looking to try new proteins and protein bars if anyone has got any suggestions. Also looking to make my own crunchy, tastey granola. Any recipes??
Share any ideas, thoughts or rambles.
